TET and lixi

I didn't go home for TET, stayed in the hospital looked after my father until the 3rd day. My mother come to replace, I went home at night ( city home) I had a sleep as a baby, I was up at the same time as normal morning, TET has gone but this is longest holiday! The street is still quite, no much traffic, the people still on the bed, some of them start to travel, then back to work on 9th day it is 22nd Feb.

On TET, the Vietnamese people always give lucky money to the family members or almost the kids. I used to give lucky money to the kids and the poor one. But this TET, just giving lucky money for the homeless peoples, most of them are old and illness. On last day ( 30 of lunar year month) I had given lucky money to 10 homeless peoples, most of them were very happy to receive LIXI ( lucky money), on first day I had given to 2 homeless people who I met on the way I went out to find the food for my father, round the hospital gate, on 2nd day, I have given to 2 very old homeless women on the way I visited my friend.

TET is a special time for everyone come home to enjoy the time with family but the homeless people don't have a roof to stay over night, it make me feel very hard in my heart! Think about WHAT I can do to help them, on this TET just give them a bit lucky money, hope them can survival for some day on the street. Homeless, illness and sickness....hope they are not present in this world!
